Table topic session 3 - 25th Jan

I volunteered today to speak during the table topic session and landed the following topic :  Technology :

Here is what i had to say quickly : I spoke for about 1 minute and 29 seconds on technology. Loved the effort..

We all are creatures affected by technology one or the other way. Starting from communicating to people sitting in the US , Uk or any other part of the world. One can buy vegetables sitting at home...Does that amaze you. You can use some applications to track your vehicle and Google has come up with a car were you  can travel in a driver less car till the airport without risk to your life across US. Sounds impossible or funny ? Dear Toastmasters, Technology is anything that makes our life comfortable and easy. As it has plus it does has negatives too.

Our life has improved because of technology. Toastmaster..

Impromptu?

Impromptu ?

I am sure most of us will feel the butterflies flying in your stomache. A wierd feeling which is difficult to put in words. I am no different than you and I used to go through the same feeling till I read a book recently. This book is a birography on Winston Churchill. One of the chapters in this book was about public speaking more specific towards the impromptu sessions. I have picked this suggestion for my betterment and in the last two impromptu session I appeared really confident and was able to talk my heart out on the topics thrown at me.

The suggestion was " when you are in front of the audience, the topic is bigger than the audience".Meaning, get engrossed thinking , talking about your topic and related topics so that you forget that audience are sitting in front of you.

If this technique helps even one speaker. I feel that my attempt to share my thoughts have paid off.
