"There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not."
Good evening toast masters, and welcome guests !
Just as the New year passed, and people were getting ready with their new vision, goals and aspirations , there came the birth of a bony boy on 15 Jan 1983 in a town called Kasargod and that’s me Nagesh Prabhu…
Hard working, down to earth, humorous that’s KNP my Dad, ever smiling, beautiful, quick learner, making one and all feel at home Neetha my Mom and handsome, focused, friend, philosopher and guide my bro Dev.. That’s our family…
Childhood days were very nostalgic with me playing pranks all the time and my bro would get caught. Apart from academics, I used to be an all rounder in sports , GK, Geography and Indian culture to mention Sanskrit slokas..
As I entered my teens, came with it all the qualities and tantrums of Teenage.. Studies was a past time. Had a crush on the girl who was seated in the next row.. Football was my passion.. Even before I realized, boyhood was gone and it was time for graduation. Got enrolled into BBM, a much happening course from Mangalore University and passed out with Flying colors with an MBA Degree from VTU, Belgaum.
Singing, adventure activities and flair for learning languages are some of my interests. Although Konkani is my mother tongue I can speak 5 languages to name few English, Hindi, Tulu, Kannada and Malayalam.
“ Right people for the right job at the right time” _ that’s my profession and I am sure all of you would have guessed it by now.. Yes ,I am into talent acquisition and working for TESCO- a brand name in Retail.
Dev ,my big bro, is my all time favorite and my role model. Caring, sharp focus, sense of responsibility in whatever he does are some of the qualities that I admire and adore .
Curiosity is my middle name. Challenging “FEAR” ( False evidence appearing real) is my motto in life. Be it singing, or talking before all of you, whatever apprehensions I had, knocked it down with sheer confidence and “ I MUST, I CAN and I WILL attitude”.
Do you ever wonder if people like you? I mean really, really like you? Sure you do. We all do. If we're not careful, though, focusing on that question of whether or not we're "likable" enough can become a very limiting obstacle on our path to success... "Oh, I couldn't do that... Everybody would think I'm crazy!" No matter what you do, some people will like you, some people won't. Rather than wasting time trying to change the minds of those who don't like you, live your life your way... Live BIG! Live life King-size
